What is the minimum age permitted to go ?

The minimum age for our craft is 5 years old and direct supervision with an adult is required in a two-seater kayak.

Can my child paddle a kayak on their own?

Children aged 5-14 require an adult in their kayak, while those aged 14-17 can paddle alone but need direct adult supervision in another craft.

What is the maximum ratio of parent to child for Harbour Sessions?

During Harbour Sessions, it is a requirement for one adult to supervise a maximum of two individuals under 18 at all times.

Can under 18s take part in a Safari?

Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or someone with parental responsibility.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, we do not permit dogs on any of our craft.

Can I paddle alone?

Absolutely! All of our Harbour Sessions and Safari Sessions are under the supervision of our qualified Paddle UK Instructors.

Do I have to book?

Advance booking is necessary as a limited number of crafts are available for your use.

What happens if it rains?

We are an all-weather company and kindly request that you dress in accordance with the current weather conditions. Wells Paddle Sports will only cancel bookings in the event of dangerous weather conditions, such as high winds, thunder, and lightning.
